All you PC gamers out there will be pleased to know that Dell has announced that it will be boosting the performance of its Alienware M11x laptop.

The extra meat on the already decidedly meaty bone comes from new Intel i5 and Core i7 processor options with the latest Nvidia Optimus tech.

The new processors should make for some speedy gaming, whilst the Nvidia Optimus technology switches seamlessly from the integrated Intel HD Graphics Media Accelerator to GeForce GT 335M discrete graphics when extra performance is demanded by visually intensive applications.

The upshot of all this is that due to the Nvidia Optimus tech you'll be able to get the extra juice when you need it - saving valuable battery power - which will hopefully prolong your on-the-go gaming.

Available in "Stealth Black" and "Lunar Shadow" the new upgraded models are available in shops now and will start at £849 for the Core i5 model.
