Could be one for the Christmas list

Sony XDR-DS12iP gets bedside preview

Fancy a preview of the Sony bedside/radio/iPod dock that you'll be putting on your Christmas list? The Sony XDR-DS12iP was shown off today by Sony, 4 months before it is due to hit the shelves.

Exactly why they were showing it so early, we don't know. We also don't have too much detail on it, just that it offers all your normal AM, FM, DAB and DAB+ (a Sony bod told us) functions, the iPod dock and alarms. It looks like a straight replacement for the ICF-C1iPMK2.

A remote will give you full control of your iPod/iPhone too, which will recharge whilst resting in the dock.

The front offers a time display, so you can wake up to your favourite tunes in the morning, and a large snooze button means you can silence them again.

The LCD display also claims "MEGA BASS", but given the shallow depth of the DS12 and the two 3W speakers, we'll take that with a pinch of Nytol.
