Mustek launch swivel portable DVD Player

New portable DVD player and digital camera from Mustek

Mustek has launched a 10 inch LCD 16:9 widescreen tablet portable DVD player.

The MP100 is a portable DVD player boasting an 180 swivel screen that can also be folded into a tablet with an on-top display for use in the back of a car.

As well as progressive scan the device supports the usual CD formats and is compatible with MPEG4, DivX 3.11, 4.0 and 5.x, XviD, AVI, MP3, Kodak Picture CD and JPEG.

The MP100 has USB and a built-in MMC/SD card reader for video, music playback and photo display.

The MP100 also features a built-in stereo speakers and two stereo headphone jacks. A car-mountable carry bag with harness and 12-volt cigarette lighter cable is provided as standard.

The brand new Mustek MP100 portable DVD player weighs 1230g and comes with adapter, cigarette lighter cable, rechargeable battery, car harness, IR credit-card size remote control, audio and video cable as well as earphones as standard. It is available at a RRP of £249.

Mustek also announced that it is launching a digital camera today.

The new DV5300SE comes equipped a 1.5-inch TFT-LCD swing display, a 3 megapixel CCD sensor and a maximum resolution of up to 5 megapixel.

For those not intent on capturing images, the model features an integrated MP3 player, can also be used as a voice recorder, USB stick and SD/MMC card reader. The 32MB internal memory can be extended via SD/MMC card slot.

The camera has a USB2.0 port, integrated flash, AV output and a headphone jack. Power comes from three 1.5 volt AAA batteries or the power adapter.

It is available in the shops for around £79.
