We have been inundated with requests to announce the winner of our iPad competition, and we thank you for your patience, but we assure you it's no easy task trawling through the many great comments posted on Pocket-lint.

Therefore we offer our congratulations to Mr Timothy Spencer who won for his comment on the story "iPad: A gadget for rich, thirty-something males?".

If you weren't lucky enough to win, at least you'll now know that if you want to enjoy the huge range of iPad apps on offer then you're going to have to go and buy one.
