iPad queue at London Apple Store braves overnight stay

And they said that pre-ordering an iPad was madness. 17-year-old performing arts student Jake Lee is willing to camp overnight, with a couple of mates and a growing collection of like-minded souls, to ensure he gets his hands on the much-hyped Apple device. However, if he thought he was going to be first by queuing as of midday 27 May, he was wrong.

As we already know, those who ordered their devices on day one have already started to get them through an entire day early. And while some are still sweating over their deliveries, at least those who pre-ordered don't have a night on London's hard and cruel pavements to look forward to.

Of course, neither will they appear on the national news and hugely popular tech and gadget websites. Or get a fantastic Griffin Technology goody bag full of lovely iPad swag. Hah!
