Thanks to Engadget for the tip about this awesome video where an iPad fan uses his initiative and a few basic DIY skills to muster himself a pretty cool iPad mounting station.

By attaching a plastic sheet and some clips to a standard VESA TV mount, he has created a cheap, funky base for his new tablet. He has even thrown a couple of mini speakers on there for a more enjoyable multimedia experience.

This custom job would be brilliant for the bedroom where you could use your iPad as your alarm clock, your radio, your newspaper, heck, pretty much your everything.

It's the best hack-job we've seen since this brilliant kitchen cupboard iPad.
