LOVEFiLM has just announced news of the launch of its "Extra Time" digital film promotion in the UK, which, according to the company, will be the world's largest.

The new promotion will give all new and existing LOVEFiLM members access to thousands of films and TV series, which they'll be able to watch online for free for 1 month, starting 11 June.

With over 67,000 titles, the promotion will be available via the LOVEFiLM player and will be supported by a multi-million online and offline advertising campaign as well as being backed by a multitude of film studios, including Paramount, Dreamworks and Momentum.

Simon Morris, chief marketing officer of LOVEFiLM, commented:

“This is the biggest ever digital promotion and a first of its kind in the UK. We are already the market leader when it comes to instantly streaming films and TV series direct to computers and internet-enabled TVs, and this month-long trial is a great way to highlight our full DVD and digital streaming hybrid offering".

The news comes on the back of LOVEFiLM bringing its movie streaming service on both Sony Bravia TVs and, more recently, on Samsung's. So take a look on the LOVEFiLM website where you can sign up, then sit back, relax and look forward to a month of free movies on your computer or internet telly.
