No need to queue at the Apple store for your iPad

You can queue outside Currys or PC World instead

No need to queue at the Apple store for your iPad

Were you disheartened by the news that we brought you earlier about iPad pre-order delivery dates slipping, again? Were you even more disappointed when you read that an Apple spokesperson has told us "queuing up is pretty pointless"?

Well, we may have some good news for you, because The Times has uncovered a memo from the DSGi group that states that the iPad will be on sale in 139 Currys and PC Worlds around the country.

That's 139 more scenes of mass queuing then, to go with the 27 Apple stores, which are bound to have huuuuuuuuuuuuuuge queues. In the States, the public went iPad nuts - buying a million units in the first month of its existence.

It's thought that the DSGi group has been given a 60-day exclusivity agreement to sell the most anticipated tablet since Moses came down Mount Sinai.

Best Buy, the new electrical superstore in Thurrock, may also be stocking it. Although, when we asked Best Buy, they weren't giving much away. They did say to ring back tomorrow though, when they'll have more info, so it sounds likely.

Be sure to check Pocket-lint on Friday when we'll be bringing you all the news from the Apple store in London.
