Pac-Man is 30 years old tomorrow and, seeing how Google has gone all out with its playable Doodle, we at Pocket-lint thought that we should also celebrate the little yellow dude's big anniversary. So with that, we present to you the five best Pac-Man themed videos that YouTube has to offer:
Billy Mitchell - World Champion
This is the Billy Mitchell we're talking about, not the whiny little oaf from Eastenders, the greatest Pac-Man player of all time. Mitchell is the only man to have ever set the perfect Pac-Man score of 3,333,360. To do this he completed all 256 levels, eating every dot, hitting every energiser and prize, killing every blue ghost and not losing a life. That's some immense Pac-Man right there. Mitchell is cool. Chuck Norris cool. Don't believe us? Then check out the video. No-one can pull off a woollen sweater quite like Mitchell.
Remi Gaillard - French Prankster
Gaillard is the French equivalent of Dom Joly, except we can't imagine Joly is as good at football. Here we see Gaillard as he terrorises French shoppers in a real life version of the classic arcade game.
Optical Illusion - Pac-Man stylee
There's quite a few of these on YouTube, they are incredible and, for that reason, it's in. Nothing else to be said really.
Pac-Man - The Yellow Knight
Clever and funny parody of the Dark Knight by comedy group Richalverez. Check out their Mario parodies too, which are also pretty funny.
Pac-Man - Pitch Invasion
Hilarity ensues in this video. Notice how the over zealous security officials bring down the culprits with a ruthlessness that suggests that all gridiron officials are, in fact, frustrated gridiron players. Although we shouldn't laugh, the pranksters were charged under the strict US terrorism laws and were sent to Guantanamo Bay.*
