iPod nano gets CruiseControl RF remote

New remote with 50 metre range launched in UK

GEAR4, UK based provider of iPod accessories, has launched the CruiseControl – an RF remote control for all iPods with a 50 metre range.

The CruiseControl works off the iPod dock connector rather than the units headphone jack and features a headphone amp and port on the bottom, thereby still allowing people to plug their headphones in.

The CruiseControl comes with all the normal functions you would expect to use on your iPod and has a 50 metre range that is not restricted by walls due to the RF (Radio Frequency) technology.

The remote receiver comes complete with a USB port meaning that you can still use the device whilst charging or synching, something that most other remotes on the market do not offer.

The RF remote control comes with seven functions, including shuffle and repeat buttons, plus normal pause/play, volume and fwd/back buttons and costs £24.99.
