Michael Dell reveals a little more about the minislate than was expected

Details on the forthcoming Dell Streak 5in Internet tablet/smartphone (previously called Mini 5) have been few and far between of late, and the company has been trying to keep things underwraps until it was good and ready for a UK unveiling.

However, somebody should have told CEO Michael Dell, who has let slip which carrier will be exclusively handling the Dell Streak in Europe, and when we might see it in stores.

Speaking to the Citrix Synergy conference in San Francisco, he boldly announced, "this will be available starting next month, first with our partner O2 Telefonica in Europe, then later this summer with our pretty good partner here in the United States, AT&T." You can almost hear the collective "doh!"

Currently, neither Dell nor O2 has confirmed this announcement, but we don't expect that to be the case for long. Once the cat's out of the bag...
