From late-May, owners of compatible Sony TVs or Blu-ray players will be able to access a whole host of clips, shows and documentaries about the World Cup via the company's BRAVIA Internet Video.

As the official consumer electronics brand of the forthcoming tournament, an exclusive deal has been struck with the organising body to offer the entire FIFA World Cup Collection of videos at the click of a button. However, only kit with BRAVIA Internet Video will be able to access the footage - older sets, even though they may connect to the net, cannot.

The catalogue of clips is constantly expanding, but includes 20 FIFA World Cup Moments, 14 Official Films from the 1930 – 2002 FIFA World Cups, and FIFA Mini World Cups 1966-2006 (highlights packages of every event since England's one and only victory to date - well, we can dream).

Christian Brown, Senior Category Marketing Manager for Home Entertainment, Sony UK, said: "Thanks to BRAVIA Internet Video and our partnership with FIFA, we can make some of the greatest football moments come to life in consumers’ living rooms across Europe."

Thankfully, that's not literally. We'd rather not have Maradona circa 1994 and his bloated, drug-addled noggin screaming in our faces. Or German goalie Harald Schumacher trying to decapitate us with a flying scissor kick. Some moments are best left on the telly.
