Ian Holloway signs up for Football Manager

Ian Holloway, the Blackpool FC boss, has signed up with Sega's popular Football Manager series to give pep talks on its website.

Holloway, fresh from leading his side to Wembley for the Championship play-off final, after beating Nottingham Forest over two legs, can be seen on the Football Manager website giving his own, unique brand of insight.

If you're unfamiliar with the man, and want an idea of the sort of quotes you can expect, then take in this absolute gem from his Plymouth Argyle days after a rather unconvincing win over Chesterfield:

"To put it in gentleman's terms if you've been out for a night and you're looking for a young lady and you pull one, some weeks they're good looking and some weeks they're not the best. Our performance today would have been not the best looking bird but at least we got her in the taxi. She wasn't the best looking lady we ended up taking home but she was very pleasant and very nice, so thanks very much, let's have a coffee"

Head over to www.footballmanager.com for more pearls of Holloway's wisdom.
