HP has strengthened its business laptop portfolio with the introduction of five new business laptop models, including the company’s thinnest and lightest notebook with optical drive to date.Designed for frequent travellers, the 1.3kg HP Compaq nc2400 Notebook PC joins the HP Compaq tc4400, HP Compaq nc4400, HP Compaq nc6400, HP Compaq nx7400 and HP Compaq nc8430 and nw8440 Notebook PCs to fill out the company’s already broad lineup of Windows Vista-capable mobile offerings.
HP also unveiled HP Professional Innovations, a suite of hardware features and software solutions incorporated into HP Business Notebooks and accessories. New technologies include HP Biometric Fingerprint Sensor, HP Disk Sanitizer and Mobile Data Protection System 3D.
HP Compaq nc2400 is HP’s thinnest and lightest business notebook to date. With a starting weight of less than 1.3kgs and 24.8mm thick, the nc2400 offers a 12.1-inch widescreen display with large viewable area and integrated optical drive support. Prices start at £1234 and will be available at the end of May
The HP Compaq 4400 Series is configurable as either a notebook PC or a convertible Tablet PC. Sporting an Intel Core Duo processor, the 4400 series also features a12.1-inch XGA display with 160-degree wide viewing angle and an optional outdoor display. HP state that the 4400 can offer a battery life of up to 16 hours with the HP Ultra-Capacity Battery. Prices start at starts at £1478 and will be available mid June
Next up is the HP Compaq nc6400 Notebook PC that offers built-in antennas supporting Wireless WAN connectivity via 3G or the new super fast HSDPA. The HP nc6400 also features the Intel Core Duo processor and 3D graphics in a 14.1 inch widescreen form factor. Prices start at £1325 and will be available end of May
The HP Compaq nx7400 Notebook PC is targeted at price-conscious users. It features an Intel Core Duo processor and 15.4-inch widescreen display. Prices start at starts at £949 and will be available mid May
Finally the company has announced the HP Compaq nc8430 and nw8440 Notebook PCs. Armed with Intel Core Duo processors and a ATI graphics card the models come with a 15.4-inch widescreen display. Prices start at start at £1149 and £1993, respectively, and will be available mid to end of May. Hardware, Laptops, HP
