Review site Reevoo has revealed that over £3 billion is wasted on consumer electronics each year because buyers don't spend enough time researching their purchases. A third of UK shoppers admitted that they had bought an electrical product which they later regretted.

It's men who waste the most money. Your average British male will fritter away £50 more than his female counterparts, every year, on gadgetry that he didn't really want.

However, Reevoo's research did suggest that we are getting more web savvy with our research - three quarters of people said that they now spend more time investigating their products on review sites like Reevoo than they did a couple of years ago.

So before you blow any of your hard earned cash on gadgets you might not need, spend some time on the Web making sure that it's the right product for you. And, of course, be sure to check out our detailed reviews, because the only thing we hold in higher esteem than our integrity is our expertise. Oh, and our modesty.
