Tweetsii updates, comes to Android

GyPSii-derived Twitter client now available

Tweetsii updates, comes to Android

The company behind the GyPSii social network has announced that its "Tweetsii" Twitter client is getting both an upgrade and a release on Android.

The app, which is now available on both the iPhone and Android, integrates with the Foursquare and Gowalla networks and offers up a stream of "local" content to any location - that includes tweets, check-ins, tips, photos, videos, and other information that's relevant to places near you. You can also discover locations that are "trending" - where there's recently been a burst of activity.

There's been an update to the interface of the application, adding the stream, as well as the ability to check in to a particular location. You can't yet check-in to the Foursquare and Gowalla networks, but that functionality is planned for a future update. In the meantime, the app might still prove useful as an aggregator of useful local information.

The app is available as a free download right now in the iPhone App Store and Android App Market.
