LG has announced another successor to its surprisingly-popular LG Cookie handset, called the Cookie Fresh GS290. It's a full-touchscreen handset, with a pile of social networking functionality.
So much so, in fact, that there's a dedicated "SNS Connector" - which gives you access to a variety of networks, including Facebook. There's also a way of assigning custom animated avatars to your friends, and the Cookie's useful speed-dialling homescreen tool. It comes with a pile of other widgets too, including weather, eBay, news, and Amazon - all available from LG's widget gallery.
There's also a 2-megapixel camera, the ability to play back MPEG-4 video and MP3 audio, FM radio functionality and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It'll be available "shortly" at Vodafone, Virgin, Tesco and Phones 4U. No word on pricing.
