10 May 2006 0:56 GMT / By Stuart Miles

Serif has announced the launch of the latest version of its MoviePlus software MoviePlus 5 that promises to enable everyone to make the most of their video footage, audio clips and digital images, regardless of their experience.

The latest version introduces DVD Authoring, HDV support and QuickTime Import & Export, making it easier than ever and more enjoyable to create video masterpieces and dynamic photo slideshows.

Other features include a built-in DVD authoring wizard, a DVD Menu Designer and the ability to preview their movie projects on television via their DV Camera. However there appears to be no support for portable devices such as the iPod Video or the PSP.

Available for £59.99 or as an upgrade the new software package is available now.
