Bose's latest all black version of its expensive, but popular SoundDock portable speaker system for the iPod has gone on sale this week.

Following the success of the white version, Bose has launched its SoundDock digital music system in a hi-gloss black finish.

“With the additional colour, we are able to offer a compact speaker system that not only perfectly matches today’s popular black iPods, but also blends in with any décor,” says Ludger Havelt, European marketing manager at Bose.

An infrared remote which is included with every SoundDock and as with the previous model, the system charges the iPod when docked, even whilst it is use.

The SoundDock digital music system measures 16.89cm H x 30.26cm W x 16.47cm D. The new SoundDock speaker system will have an expected retail-selling price of £249.

Bose is keen to stress that the white version will still be available.
