Google rumoured to be launching Google Health

Search engine looks to remedy the situation

Google is about to launch a health service within its search engine offering for web users keen to find out what is wrong with them.

Google Health, rumoured to be launching sometime this week, promises to narrow down or filter results to produce desired results.

According to a posting from ZDNet's Google blogger, searching for migraine, for example will let users choose from various options including: treatment, research papers, symptoms, news and alternative medicine.

Some commentators believe that the service may end up looking like Google's Finance portal, which offers other services, like news headlines and market data, alongside tailored search results rather than being a replacement for your local GP.
