Dell planning 7 and 10-inch tablets

It looks as if the Mini 5 is going to be getting some older brothers, if leaks published by Engadget are correct. An internal Dell announcement indicates that there will be 7-inch and 10-inch versions landing shortly.

There's very little in the way of detail - no specs or stats, just some images and the name "Streak". From the images, though, we can see that they're essentially scaled-up versions of the Mini 5, which runs Android 1.6. Hopefully we'll get 2.1 at the very least.

As for release dates, it's looking like the 7-incher will arrive in the USA late in 2010, with the 10-inch model following in early 2011. That's a way off yet, so there's plenty of time to start working out which of 2010's tablet parade suits you best. As we hear more, we'll let you know.
