iPad LapDock turns iPad into Laptop

9 April 2010 14:53 GMT / By Stuart Miles

It was supposed to revolutionise the way we use the Internet in the home, it was supposed to be better than a netbook, but it seems that one designer has other ideas.

The iPad LapDock is a docking station that turns your iPad into a laptop.

What?

Yep, that's right, according to the blurb, the LapDock, which is currently in early beta (the video shows it's made from wood) will house your shiny new iPad and an Apple Bluetooth keyboard so you can use the iPad like a laptop.

Yep, we can't see the point either, but if you're interested, you can subscribe to the iPad LapDock newsletter to find out when it's shipping.

Pricing has yet to be worked out.
