Apple iPad fans about to import an iPad in the UK won't be able to access the UK app store Pocket-lint has learnt.
The news will no doubt come as a surprise to those that have ordered the iPad to be shipped to the UK to then realise that without a US address they won't be able to download apps.
Even those who manage to fool Apple into letting them have a US iTunes account (Beverly Hills 90210 is a great Zip code), Apple still requires you to have access to a US credit card with a US address to buy apps. A UK card just won't work.
Our advice, is for those importing iPads to only do so knowing that they won't be getting the full experience, unless they have an American friend willing to foot the bill for their app downloads.
