Vodafone HTC Desire not delayed, available now

Already in customers' hands

Vodafone HTC Desire not delayed, available now

6 April 2010 17:10 GMT / By Stuart Miles

Reports out this morning in the UK that the HTC Desire was delayed on Vodafone are incorrect it seems, with Vodafone confirming to Pocket-lint that rather than being delayed it is actually shipping the phone early.

"We've already started shipping the HTC Desire to customers and fulfilling pre-orders ahead of our stated 8 April launch date", a spokesman for the mobile phone operator told Pocket-lint.

The reports, which Vodafone confirmed failed to check the status of the phone stock levels, were based on an email that had been sent in error last week says the company.

Either way the correct news, which will be welcomed by HTC Desire customers eager to get their hands on the new Android 2.1 touting device from HTC, should mean that they will be getting their new phone in the post, if not already, by the end of the week.
