Skype for iPhone 1.3.1 released, forgets to add 3G calling

No dedicated iPad app yet either

Skype has updated its iPhone app on Tuesday, fixing a series of bugs, but in the meantime forgetting to add the ability to make calls over 3G.

The company first promised 3G calling on the go on the iPhone back in February and while it's released a new update this week, that feature is still missing.

Instead users will get improved stability in a couple of areas involving calls and iPad support, although not a dedicated iPad app.

"You can expect to hear more from us about an iPad app in the coming months as we now have our hands on actual iPads and can start tuning and testing", says Peter Parkes at Skype.
