Ferris Bueller Ferrari replica goes to auction

It is his love, it is his passion...it is his fault he didn't lock the garage

Ferris Bueller Ferrari replica goes to auction

The 1961 Ferrari 250GT California. Less than 100 were made. And that's probably why John Hughes and his team made a replica version for Ferris Bueller's Day Off, and it's now up for auction at Bonhams.

Despite not being an original Ferrari, this fine automobile is available for an expected price of between £30,000-40,000 and would still certainly be upsetting if it got wrecked, stolen, scratched, breathed on wrong or a pigeon did something unspeakable to it.

It's in working condition, available to drive and goes under the hammer at 11am on 19 April at the RAF Museum, Hendon.

If you had access to money like this, would you hesitate before picking it up at auction? Neither would I.
