Privacy check coming to Google Buzz

Privacy check coming to Google Buzz

5 April 2010 11:10 GMT / By Dan Sung

Google Buzz will start offering a privacy settings reset as of today in order to give unsuspecting users a check on just what kind of details their service might currently be set up to give away.

A page will pop up reminding people how the options are and how to change them to restrict the number of people who can follow you. The move is expected to be announced on the Google Blog along with an admission from the Buzz team saying "we didn't get everything right" when the service was launched back in February.

The reset comes as yet another change from Google on how the company had put Buzz together and is the third alteration on the privacy system. Doubtless we'll see more in the coming months with Google's experimental style of honing their products with feedback from those that use them.
