FUTURE WEEK: Nanotechnology is the key

Envisioned by Nokia in 2008, the Finnish company believes that the future of mobile phones could look something like Morph, a nanotechnology concept, that sees your phone shape-shift into different objects and therefore tasks at the touch of a button.

Developed by Nokia Research Center (NRC) and the University of Cambridge (UK) Morph is a concept that demonstrates how future mobile devices might be stretchable and flexible, allowing the user to transform their mobile device into radically different shapes.

"Based on conversations and prototypes we've seen in our research, what Nokia is suggesting is a little way off our 2015 timeframe for future week, however some of the elements will be possible".

Flexible screens are already in development by a number of companies, as we've learnt from the Creative Director at one&co, materials will be able to change shape, to some extent, by 2015.

A phone that's also a bracelet might just be around the corner after all.
