Boston Acoustics unveils TVee Model 20 Soundbar

24 March 2010 14:53 GMT / By Duncan Geere

Boston Acoustics has announced a cheap-and-cheerful soundbar for those of you who don't want speakers and the associated cables scattered about all around your living room. It's called the TVee Model 20.

It consists of a soundbar and a wireless subwoofer, and Boston Acoustics has made some tweaks to the drivers that bear the wonderful name of "Hyperbolic High Rigidity Transducer driver technology". It's designed to be mounted above or below a 32-inch or greater television, and the company promises you'll get "room-filling sound and powerful bass".

The TVee Model 20 comes in gloss black, hooks up via the television's line-output, indicating that this is stereo, rather than surround, and connects wirelessly to the subwoofer, which will require additional power. It'll be available in shops from late April 2010 and cost £300.
