O2 could be about to get the Palm Pre Plus and Palm Pixi Plus in the next couple of weeks according to a report on the Internet.
According to phone blog Tracy and Matt, an anonymous tipster has told them that the UK operator that already stocks the Pre will be getting the Pre Plus and Pixi Plus.
"O2 are following up the Palm Pre with the Palm Pre Plus and the Pixi Plus", reads the tip.
The tip goes on to say that the "expected launch date is April 2010 shortly after the App Catalogue comes out of Beta for European users allowing access for paid applications".
Launched in the US earlier this year on the Verizon network in the US, the phone hasn't, as yet, been that well received in the US with Palm on Thursday reporting a lackluster quarter that sees over half of the stock it's shipped to stores still sitting on the shelf.
In a statement, Palm CEO Jon Rubinstein said: "The work we're doing to improve sales is having an impact, we're making great progress on future products, and we're looking forward to upcoming launches with new carrier partners".
Could this be the announcement he was talking about?
