Five HD might not be coming to Freeview for some time, but that hasn't stopped Satellite broadcaster Sky jumping in and grabbing the channel for its HD customers when it goes live in July.

The news means that fans of CSI, FlashForward, Neighbours and Home & Away, will be able to enjoy everywhere from Miami to Summer Bay in High Def from the summer.

It also means that Sky will now offer all the UK's terrestrial channels in HD by the summer having signed up ITV HD to broadcast from April.

Sky says it is aiming to have 50 HD channels by Christmas.
