Anatomy of Apple Design from Transparent House on Vimeo.

There have been a couple of things recently that have made me feel very, very old.
The first was a passing comment by a radio DJ when she said that the Stone Roses’ debut album was 21 years old last weekend. That hurt. I remember so clearly queuing up in my local Our Price to buy it on 12-inch vinyl…
The second was this clip from US design company Transparent House who has made a homage to the changing face of Apple design. The paradigm shift can clearly be seen when a certain Mr. Ives unveiled the iMac to a world where, up until then, the words ‘colour’ and ‘computer’ had been mutually exclusive.
That was in 1999.
That revelation hurt too. A lot.
