Samsung has announced the launch of a new slim SGH-D520 mobile phone today.

The new tri-band D520 promises all of today’s latest features and measures in at just 101 x 46 x 15.9mm and weighs 93g.

Other features include a 1.3 megapixel camera and a 262k colour screen as well as Bluetooth stereo support and the ability to store and transfer up to 80MB of files with internal memory and USB connectivity.

Samsung’s D520 launch is following in the footsteps of Samsung’s earlier releases of the SGH-D820 and the SGH-P300.

The D820 is a slim slider with a rich QVGA 2.12 inch screen and a load of multimedia functions.

The P300, better known as “the Card Phone” has the same unique dimensions of a credit card with a thickness of 8.9mm.

The SGH-D520 will be available to the European and Southeast Asian market beginning in May.
