More HTC Incredible details emerge

With Snapdragon CPU, Android 2.1 and half a gig of RAM

More HTC Incredible details emerge

Back at the start of February, some spy photos arrived of a handset calling itself the HTC Incredible, destined for Verizon in the States. It promises Android 2.1, and could be the face of the HTC Legend in the US.

However, a few specs and screenshots have appeared on Android Forums which contradict previous estimates of the phone's capabilities. Instead of a 1Ghz processor, the onboard Snapdragon appears to have been under-clocked a little to 768MHz - presumably over battery life concerns. However there's reportedly half a gig of RAM - not the 256MB that was previously stated.

There's also an 8-megapixel camera, which could put the wind up those who have criticised Android phones for their imaging capabilities in the past, and the device measures 117.5 x 58.5 x 11.9mm - a smidge smaller than the Nexus One. The handset is set for a launch around April or May, so if you're a Verizon subscriber then keep your eyes peeled.
