The company behind the Blinkx video search engine has launched SelfcastTV, the UK’s answer to YouTube.
The new website will allow users to upload and share their videos, search for and download others in a similar way to the now very popular You-Tube site.
Users will be able to publish videos direct from their mobile as well being able to download content to their iPod or PSP to watch on the go.
Selfcasttv.com users will also be able to embed their video files into other websites such has My Space, Ebay, Xanga and brit-journal.com if they so wish.
The new service promises to support more formats than any other video sharing site as well as boasting a faster turn around time from upload to download.
