Buying a laptop can be a tricky number, with all the top manufactures shouting: "look at mine, it's got bells and whistles and everything". The majority of the time, however, you don't need all the bells and whistles.
Which is where the Dell Inspiron 1545 comes in, no it's not what you might call flashy, but it's currently available for £349 from Dell's online shop and should do a decent job for you.
For your £350 you'll get an Intel Celeron Dual Core T3100 processor, 3GB RAM and 320GB hard drive. I'll come running Windows 7 Home Premium which will be displayed on its 15.6-inch screen.
On the site you'll see that Dell, very kindly, gives you the option of building your own alon with the ability to accessorise the device, which will inevitably end up costing you more. If you want to cut to the chase you can, with the Review and Add to Basket tab.
Click through here to take a look for yourself and bear in mind this deal is for a limited period (surprise) with the offer ending 10 March 2010.
Alternatively, if you're feeling lucky, you could take a look at our super-duper competition, where you'll have the chance of winning a Dell Studio 16 XPS.
