You might not be able to connect it to anything, however that hasn't stopped Buffalo launching a new portable hard drive that sports USB 3.0 transfer speeds for those who want to move their files around quickly.

The MiniStation Lite USB 3.0 HD-PEU3 portable hard disk drive will come in two storage sizes; 500GB and 640GB, and although offer USB 3 connectivity will thankfully work with all USB 2.0 enabled computers and notebooks.

The MiniStation Lite USB 3.0 HD-PEU3 will be widely available across EMEA from April with the 500GB version costing £109.99 and the 640GB version costing £139.99.

Luckily Buffalo and Belkin make a number of accessories to allow you to get the most out of the new speeds, although you will have to buy those separately.
