3 March 2010 15:41 GMT / By Duncan Geere

At the CeBIT 2010 tradeshow in Hannover, Germany, Asus has announced a whole pile of products with USB 3.0 interfaces, allowing transfer speeds almost 10 times faster than the 2.0 standard.

The latest is the Asus O!Play HD2 - a media streamer to complement the previously-announced O!Play HDP-R3. It allows you to send all the photo, audio and video content from your PC, NAS, card reader to any other connected device across your network. The USB 3.0 capabilities allows it to do that at up to 4.8Gbps transfer speeds.

It also has connections to more than 20,000 internet radio stations, over 100 internet TV channels, and can cope with HD audio output in upto 7.1-channel surround sound. We don't have any pricing or availability details yet, but as soon as we get the full info, we'll let you know.
