Pentax has announced a new digital camera within its waterproof range, the Pentax W90, for those planning on getting wet.
The new camera will, as was the case with its predecessor, be waterproof, shockproof and dustproof and improve on previous models available. Compared to the previous model, the W80 launched in August 2009, the camera can now go down a further metre under water (from 5m to 6m) and withstand a greater fall (from 1m to 1.2m).
Face-detection, including your pets, 720p video recording at 30 frames per second and a 2.7-inch LCD screen are just some of the specs for the 12-megapixel camera.
Elsewhere, those who are planning to spend their summer around the pool or on the beach will get a 5x optical zoom for snapping all the pretty girls, anti-shake technology and 12 digital filters that add visual effects to recorded images, as well as, the usual Pentax auto picture detection mode and plethora of scene modes available.
Coming in March, it will set you back £269.99 in the UK.
