Heritage Key, the historical virtual world whose founder we interviewed recently, has rolled out an update that gives users the ability to explore Stonehenge, circa 2,400 BC.

Back then, more than 4,000 years ago, Salisbury Plain wasn't a plain at all - it was a dense forest within which an ancient civilization had erected what historians now believe to be a calendar. Heritage Key allows you to explore that forest, talking to druids, warriors and leaders who lived nearby in the Neolithic settlement of Durrington Walls.

You can explore the Stonehenge section of the virtual world by heading over to heritage-key.com/stonehenge. It's part of Heritage Key's Ancient World in London collection, which can be found at heritage-key.com/ancient-london and includes quizzes, competitions and discussions. No Spinal Tap, though, sadly.
