X-Plore.XGX GPS gloves to help skiers find their way

22 February 2010 16:19 GMT / By Stuart Miles

Skiers looking to find there way down the mountain are being offered help via a new pair of gloves that just so happen to feature a built-in GPS receiver.

The X-Plore.XGX is the world’s first glove with full GPS functionality, claim its makers, and promises to help you navigate your way securely even in the most adverse weather conditions through a planned route, downhill or back to your parked car.

Using a built-in display in the thumb, skiers or boarders can access the data while using soft buttons on the gloves to control everything.

Judging by the picture of the gloves, that means access to things like max speed, average speed, distance, and trip stats.

No word on pricing or availability as yet with the company's website void of all information.
