Sky and Nokia have announced that they've built an application that'll allow you to watch Sky Sports on your Nokia handset, and that it's available in the Ovi Store now. The app also offers remote recording and the ability to check Sky News and Sky Sports headlines.
The list of compatible phones is relatively short, for the time being. It'll work on the Nokia N97, Nokia N97 mini, Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, and Nokia 5530 - just four handsets. Nokia promises working versions for the Nokia 5230 and X6 will be created "shortly", but in the meantime if you don't have one of those devices you're out of luck.
David Gibbs, Sky's general manager for mobile, told Pocket-lint: "We’re delighted to be working with Nokia to give millions more people the chance to enjoy TV on the move. The success of Sky Mobile TV has shown there’s a real appetite for innovative services that allow customers to choose when and where they watch".
The app is available now in the Ovi store, and it's free.
