Samsung's announced a new waterproof model as part of its PMA announcements in California.

The WP10 as it will be known in the UK, and the AQ100 in the US, will come with waterproof capabilities and can be used in up to 10 feet of water; ideal for the pool or beach holiday you're no doubt already planning.

To help you make the most of that waterproofing, the WP10 comes with a dedicated Aqua mode, which Samsung says will optimise camera settings for the best possible underwater photos.

On the traditional camera side of things you'll get a 12-megapixel sensor, 5x optical zoom, 2.7-inch LCD screen and 720p HD video capabilities.

£179.99 is the UK price while Americans get to pay $199.99 when the camera hits in the spring.
