At Panasonic's annual convention in Munich, we were able to get hands-on with the company's SDC-TM700 camcorder.

It promises full HD recording, an ultra-wide 35mm lens, Panasonic's 3MOS system with an effective motion megapixel count of 9 million, and newly developed POWER OIS and face recognition toolkit. It records onto both its 32GB of internal memory and a memory card at the same time.

It'll capture 14.2-megapixel still images, as well as taking 13.3-megapixel stills during the recording of video. It has 12x optical zoom, a manual focus ring, an electronic viewfinder, hot shoe, mic terminal, and can even cope with 5.1-channel surround sound.

It'll be available in March, but we still don't have any pricing details.
