Huawei football modem lets you show your love for the game

17 February 2010 17:03 GMT / By Stuart Miles

Football fans looking to show their support for the World Cup this summer will be able to show their love for the game with a new USB modem from dongle maker Huawei that looks like a football.

The E2010 is a HSDPA modem that will give you 7.2Mbps connection speeds as long as you are in coverage.

Cracking it open like a walnut reveals a USB plug to connect to your computer and you'll get support for all the major operating systems - Windows, Mac and Linux.

It seems the only trouble you'll have is convincing people it's supposed to be a football rather than just a rather large looking eye-ball hanging from your computer.

No word on pricing or where it will be stocked, but expect it to appear in time for the World Cup in South Africa in the next couple of months.
