Microsoft's "Outlook Social Connector" for Office has become available as a beta download with professional social networking site LinkedIn the first with an Outlook Connector add-on, while Facebook and Myspace versions are due later in the year.

In the video above you can see how LinkedIn contacts and info integrates with Microsoft's email software, something that could prove useful to PC-using professionals.

"At LinkedIn, we believe every professional is more productive when their professional network is close at hand and available wherever they spend their professional time", says LinkedIn of the integration. We're not sure the same will be said of the coming-soon Facebook version.
