The SlingPlayer Mobile App for the iPhone has been updated to include streaming over 3G bringing with it a massive headache for mobile phone operators around the world.

The new update means that owners of a slingbox in their home can now stream their TV to their Apple phone without the need to be on a wireless network.

“We’re delighted the SlingPlayer Mobile App now has 3G capability,” said John Gilmore, senior vice president and general manager at Sling Media. “Slingbox users in many countries around the globe, including the United States, can now enjoy their living room TV experience on their iPhone and iPod touch whether on a 3G or WiFi network.”

The SlingPlayer Mobile App is available for U.S. $29.99, UK GBP £17.99, and Euro €23.99 from the App Store.
