PopCap has just announced the launch of its hit game Plants vs. Zombies for the iPhone and iPod touch.

The game is said to be faithful to the original design of PC and Mac versions, but with some specific adaptations, which includes special features and content.

As Andrew Stein, director of mobile platforms at PopCap games remarks: "Plants vs. Zombies for the iPhone and iPod touch marks the first adaptation of our wildly popular 'flower defence' game to a new platform, and we're excited at how well it has translated to the iPhone and iPod touch".

The new features include a Quick Play Arena, allowing easy replay of levels after the completion of Adventure mode and over a dozen achievements to reward completion of in-game challenges.

You can download the game for £1.79 from the Apple App Store at www.itunes.com/appstore.
