Plantronics announces .Audio headset range

MWC 2010: Four new hands-free options

Plantronics has announced an expansion of its range of .Audio PC headsets at Mobile World Congress, with four new wideband models entering the fold.

All the devices feature digital signal processing (DSP) technology and noise cancelling microphones, which should mean a decent audio quality when listening to music, gaming or any PC-based tasks for that matter.

First off is the Plantronics .Audio 476 which features an over-the-head wearing style, which folds almost completely flat for travelling. It also gets plug-and-play USB connection and three button control for your volume and mic mute.

The .Audio 655 offers deep bass and "full-range digital audio through 40mm speakers" and soft, swivel-mounted ear cushions and lightweight design.

Finally the the .Audio 626 and 646 appear to be the more basic models, though they still get the DSP and noise cancellation tech. The 646 gets a "behind the head wearing style".

Both the .Audio 476 and .Audio 655 will set you back £39.99 (around 49 euros) whilst the .Audio 626 and 646 are priced at £29.99. All should be available spring 2010.
