It seems US retail giant Best Buy has considered nostalgia as a weapon for its coming-soon attack on the UK high street.

Best Buy has carried out research into resurrecting the "Rumbelows" brand name for shops in order to cash in on the consumer nostalgia associated with the once-famous chain.

It's been revealed the company has trademarked Rumbelows under the Best Buy UK property, but there's no news whether it's done likewise with "Radio Rentals".

"While it plans to open bigger stores under the Best Buy brand name, it is possible that Rumbelows could be used for smaller outlets", reports Brand Republic.

Best Buy's UK website is already up and running and it is due to open its first UK stores this spring in conjunction with Carphone Warehouse.
